A warm welcome once again to all you lovely lot! Now you couldn’t really expect that we were going to have a quiet Summer now would you? Coming up then on 10th July is a special vinyl sale, the large part of which was originally part of a prestigious UK label’s library – as such, condition is superb throughout the 250+ lots with some extremely tasty selections indeed!
Below are just a few of our personal highlights, so as always viewing comes highly recommended should you wish to get the full experience, we will be more than happy to see you on Monday 9th for this where a tropical flavoured playlist will be spinning throughout the day…
Lot 105 brings us the scorching 1983 LP ‘Thumela’ by the South African boss Uwandile Piliso, make sure to check out that opening track ‘Tie Breaker’, it’s huge! Michael Garrick and friends (including Don Rendell) are featured at lot 113 with a lovely copy of ‘Mr Smith’s Apocalypse’, there’s a monster selection from Joan Jett (the true Gotmother of Punk) at lot 179, more cracking Punk lots up at 188 (a stunning Clash/Pistols selection), 189, 200, 201 and 202, 2 monster LPs from Townes Van Zandt (lot 10), 2 fantastic ‘World’ lots at 31 and 32 (including terrific LPs from Garofano Rosso, Matia Bazar, Mina, Banco, Luiz Bonfa and Eduardo Niebla amongst others) with an exceptional collection of Reggae LPs at 111 that are perfect for any sound system!
To top all of this off, there are five superb lots of acetates that will be going under the hammer (lots 146 to 150) including the incredible ‘We Aim To Please’ from Peter Dunton (T2 and Bulldog Breed anyone?), an early version of Long John Baldry’s ‘Only A Fool’ and the mover ‘Looking Back’ from The Spencer Davis Group.
So get on down, shake it up and show us your moves this July, I can guarantee that a fun time will be had by all.
